The first book in Ed J. Horton's Buzzy Ghent Mysteries series for middle-grade readers, The Attic's Hidden Secret, was published in November 2005 by Pleasant Word Publishing, a division of WinePress Publishing. The book's main character, feisty Buzzy Ghent is an outspoken twelve-year-old girl who, with the help of her friends Eric Blister and Suhas Basu, has found a journal in the attic of an old building. The forty-year-old journal tells of stolen money and Buzzy is determined to find it! The underlying theme emphasized throughout the book is trust and how it can be applied. The series second book, Missing at Camp Winni, is also available through this website, amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, etc. The story takes the sleuthing trio to summer camp where they entangle themselves in a search for missing items, discover hidden caves, and unmask a real nasty crook! By the end of the adventure, the wisdom of Detective Ghent's words, "Be known as a person of truth," is understood.
